§ 21-5. Bureau of fire prevention established.

A bureau of fire prevention in Fire Protection District No. 2 of Fire Protection District No. 2 of Rapides Parish, Louisiana, and in Service Area No. 1 of Fire District No. 2, is hereby established which shall be operated under the supervision of the chief of the fire department. He shall designate an officer of the fire department as the fire prevention officer.

The fire prevention officer shall have the authority to conduct investigations of fires and their causes and to conduct inspections and recommendations concerning the fire prevention code within Fire Protection District No. 2 of Fire Protection District No. 2 of Rapides Parish, Louisiana, and in Service Area No. 1 of Fire District No. 2.
